This is part of my "Cut" series.
There are three primary concepts, being driven by different questions:
— Just how much of the piece can I remove after turning and still have it be a bowl?
— How can I utilize this post-turning removal to further accentuate different aspects or viewpoints of the piece?
— How can I use post-turning removal to create a greater sense of movement or force a change in the conceptual perspective of the piece?

Each piece is turned on the lathe while in it's final shape, that being a square, rectangle, quadrangle or a polyhedron. Then each piece moves on to the table saw, band saw or both for further cutting.  Finally, there is fairly extensive hand sanding and finishing.
